Our
history
Since 1933 giving life to family moments
In San Gotardo we invite you to discover the treasures that our immense Argentine pampa offers us.
From Trenque Lauquen, Buenos Aires, we produce cheese, dulce de leche and cream with the same love, every day.
From Trenque Lauquen, Buenos Aires, we produce cheese, dulce de leche and cream with the same love, every day.
The beginnings
From Fortín Olavarría, Buenos Aires, in the factory owned by a Swiss man named Stauffer, San Gotardo cheeses were distributed and sold to La Pampa, all of western Buenos Aires and Mendoza.
Francisco García Palmás worked there, and his son Jorge Ramón García helped by distributing the products on his bicycle.

Continuing the tradition
Jorge Ramón García, already 26 years old, ends up taking over the management of the Cooperativa de Tamberos de Trenque Lauquen. He then joined forces with Juan Carlos Asci to start Industrias Lácteas Leubuco S.A. where his son, Jorge Alberto García, begins to work.

Third generation of Argentine cheesemakers
Jorge Alberto García forms a distributor, Distrelauquen, to bring Trenque Lauquen products to Buenos Aires. The following years are of rapid expansion, with new factories in Tres Lomas, Villa Sauce and finally in Trenque Lauquen.
Looking at the future
Jorge Alberto García's eldest son, Matías, continues the tradition selling Sbrinz cheese in pasta factories in Buenos Aires. Later his youngest son, Javier, joins this family tradition.
We are a company that is constantly evolving, always maintaining the dedication and love for the art of dairy that has characterized us since 1933.
